Verniflam® AITHON AL20X
Verniflam® AITHON AL20X is a water-opaque film-forming intumescent paint for indoor or outdoor wooden surfaces under cover (with Verniflam® AITHON F4X top coat).
Verniflam® AITHON AL20X is used as an industrial primer to improve the fire reaction of wooden surfaces on areas such as walls or ceilings that are not subject to mechanical stress. Verniflam® AITHON PV33 is not suitable for floors or stairs, for example.
Combined with the Verniflam® AITHON F4X Top Coat, it can also be suitable for sheltered outdoors in a defined context.

Any application of a paint must be tested beforehand to verify compatibility with the substrate.

Verniflam® AITHON AL20X is used as an industrial primer to improve the fire reaction of wooden surfaces. In combination with the VERNIFLAM® AITHON F4X Top Coat, it can also be used outdoors in a defined context.

Classification ratio: 0944/DC/REA/16_3 (EN 13823, EN ISO 11925-2)
Theoretical application weight: approx. 250 g/m2 (interior), approx. 350 g/m2 (exterior under cover, with Verniflam® Aithon F4X topcoat)
The substrate must be dry, free of dust, oil, wax, grease, dirt, resin, etc.
Existing coatings or coatings with poor adhesion must be completely removed, e.g. with solvent-based paint strippers or sanding.
Surfaces that have been treated with non-acid-resistant coatings, such as emulsion paints containing lithopones, lime or chalk, must be completely removed by sanding.
If there is limited penetration into the surface, roughen the adhesion with sandpaper. The moisture content of the wood should not exceed 12%.
