Hydroflam® C10
Hydroflam® C10 is a flame retardant that delays ignition and limits the spread of flames in cellulosic fibres, such as cardboard and natural raffia.
Its exceptional effectiveness requires small quantities. Its penetration capacity is very strong and facilitates its application.
This solution has been developed to limit odours and traces on cardboard after fireproofing.
Cardboard: M1 according to the NF P92-512 standard. FCBA PV.

Choose your packaging
Hydroflam® C10 is available in liquid form (without VOCs or formaldehyde), odourless and colourless. It is ready to use. It can be coloured (powder dye or liquid acrylic) to obtain an aesthetic effect or traceability. The fireproof material, once dry, can be stained, painted or varnished but only with non-degrading products.
Prevents the spread of flames and fire and reduces the development of smoke.
Must be used in dry, enclosed rooms, indoors.
Implementation and preparation of the substrate
The substrate must be dry, free of dust, oil, wax, grease, dirt, resin, etc.
Hydroflam® C10 can be applied on dry, porous substrates, double-sided:
- By “refusal” spraying with a flat jet nozzle.
- By dipping (total immersion in the flame retardant).
It is advisable to let it dry between 12 and 72 hours depending on the temperature and humidity, in a natural or accelerated way. A slight shrinkage of the fiber may occur.
Indicative returns
To fire retardant raffia: the consumption of Hydroflam® C10 must be 30% of the mass of the support by dipping (the solution must first be diluted to 50%), or 15% of the mass of the support for spray treatment (the solution is used without dilution).
E.g.: to fire retardant 200 g of natural raffia, 60 g of Hydroflam® C10 (diluted to 50%) will be required by dipping, or 30 g by spraying. The mass of natural raffia wet before drying must be 260 g per dip or 230 g per spray.
To fire retardant cardboard: the consumption of Hydroflam® C10 (undiluted solution) must be 40% of the mass of the substrate, per spray.
E.g.: to fire retardant 200 g of cardboard, 80 g of Hydroflam® C10 will need to be sprayed. The mass of the wet cardboard before drying must be 280 g.
