Hydroflam® BC11 is a flame retardant that delays ignition and limits the spread of flames in cardboard products and materials based on natural plant fibres that can be impregnated.
Its exceptional effectiveness requires small quantities. Its penetration capacity is very strong and facilitates its application.

Choose your packaging
Hydroflam® BC11 is available in liquid form (without VOCs or formaldehyde), odourless and colourless. It is ready to use. It can be coloured (powder dye or liquid acrylic) to obtain an aesthetic effect or traceability. The fireproof material, once dry, can be stained, painted or varnished, but only with non-degrading products.
Prevents the spread of flames and fire and reduces the development of smoke.
Must be used in dry and closed indoor premises.
Installation and preparation of the substrate
The substrate must be dry, free of dust, oil, wax, grease, dirt, resin, etc.
Hydroflam® BC11 can be applied in 3 ways on dry, porous, double-sided substrate + edges:
- By “refusal” spraying with a flat jet nozzle.
- By dipping (total immersion in the flame retardant).
It is advisable to let it dry between 12 and 72 hours depending on the temperature and humidity, in a natural or accelerated way. A slight shrinkage of the fiber may occur.
Indicative returns
The consumption of Hydroflam® BC11 should be 30% of the mass of the support.
E.g.: to fire retardant 200 g of cardboard, 60 g of Hydroflam® BC11 will be required. The mass of wet cardboard before drying must be 260 g.
