HydroFlam® FL21/50

Hydroflam® FL21/50 is available in liquid form (without VOCs or formaldehyde), odourless and colourless. It is ready to use. It can be coloured (powder dye or liquid acrylic) to achieve an aesthetic effect or traceability. The fireproof material, once dry, can be stained, painted or varnished, but only with non-downgrading products.

Prevents the spread of flames and fire and reduces the development of smoke.

Must be used in dry, enclosed indoor spaces.

Implementation and preparation of the substrate

The substrate must be dry, free of dust, oil, wax, grease, dirt, resin, etc.

Hydroflam® FL21/50 is applied by dipping (total immersion in the flame retardant) on a dry, porous substrate.

It is advisable to let it dry between 12 and 72 hours depending on the temperature and humidity, in a natural or accelerated way. A slight shrinkage of the fiber may occur.

Indicative returns

The consumption of Hydroflam® FL21/50 should be 40% of the mass of the support.

E.g.: to fire retardant 200 g of cork, 80 g of Hydroflam® FL21/50 will be required. The mass of wet cork before drying must be 280 g.

For optimal drying, we recommend accelerated drying at 40°C between 10 and 15 hours.

Cleaning of the equipment with hot water.
