Fireproof wood frame with Verniflam® intumescent varnish
The EFB, the Professional Training School of the Bars of the Paris Court of Appeal, is the largest of the eleven Regional Centers for the Professional Training of Lawyers (CRFPA). This R+6 building designed by the Wilmotte & Associés teams is located in the town of Issy-les-Moulineaux, a stone’s throw from Paris. The architectural signature of the project is the three-storey reception hall where the wooden slats detach themselves from the facades to curve freely inside the volume. These glulam Douglas fir slats are fireproof on the façade with the BIME® process , while the corrugations that form the very special structure of the reception hall are fireproof by applying intumescent varnish, and give them a Euroclass B / M1 classification.
