La Samaritaine – Paris
Workshop 20.12 – Fireproofing of natural fibres
Scenography project for the La Samaritaine store, a Parisian department store founded in 1870 by Enerst Cognacq, located in Paris between the rue de Rivoli and the Seine, above the Pont Neuf in the 1st arrondissement of Paris.
Protecflam Industries has fireproofed a structure made of 130 kg of natural fibers combining linen and sisal. Hydroflam® TN12, a flame retardant that delays ignition and limits the spread of flames in fabrics of natural origin, was therefore chosen, in perfect harmony with the objective!
