Choose your packaging
Hydroflam® S17 comes in liquid form (without VOCs or formaldehyde), odorless and colorless. It is ready to use. It can be colored (powder dye or liquid acrylic) to achieve an aesthetic effect or traceability. It is slightly foaming. The fireproof material, once dry, can be tinted but only with non-downgrading products.
Prevents the spread of flames and fire and reduces the development of smoke.
Must be used in dry, enclosed indoor spaces.
Installation and preparation of the substrate
The substrate must be dry, free of dust, oil, wax, grease, dirt, resin, etc.
Hydroflam® S17 can be applied in 2 ways to a dry, porous substrate, on both sides:
- By “refusal” spraying with a flat jet nozzle (recommended for fragile papers, such as crepe)
- By dipping (total immersion in the flame retardant).
It is advisable to let it dry between 12 and 72 hours depending on the temperature and humidity, in a natural or accelerated way. A slight shrinkage of the fiber may occur.
Indicative returns
The consumption of Hydroflam® S17 varies according to the nature, composition, mass of the substrate and the target fire classification. In general, the carrying rate of Hydroflam® S17 must be around 60% of the mass of the substrate to be treated.
E.g.: to fireproof a 200 g silk fabric, 120 g of Hydroflam® S17 will be required. The mass of the wet fabric before drying must be 320 g.
