Hydroflam® PF13
Hydroflam® PF13 is a flame retardant that delays ignition and limits the spread of flames in decorative papers such as kraft, crepe, embossed, fluted, etc.
Its exceptional effectiveness requires small quantities. Its penetration capacity is very strong and facilitates its application.
Recycled paper 70 to 250 g/m2: M1 according to the FCBA NF P92-512 PV standard.
Choose your packaging
Hydroflam® PF13 is available in liquid form (VOC and formaldehyde-free), odourless and colourless. It is ready to use. It can be coloured (powder dye or liquid acrylic) to achieve an aesthetic effect or traceability. The fireproof material, once dry, can be tinted but only with non-degrading products.
Prevents the spread of flames and fire and reduces the development of smoke.
Must be used in dry and closed indoor rooms.
Installation and preparation of the substrate
The substrate must be dry, free of dust, oil, wax, grease, dirt, resin, etc.
Hydroflam® PF13 can be applied in 2 ways on a dry, porous substrate, double-sided:
- By “refusal” spraying with a flat jet nozzle (recommended for fragile papers, such as crepe)
- By dipping (total immersion in the flame retardant).
It is advisable to let it dry between 12 and 72 hours depending on the temperature and humidity, in a natural or accelerated way. A slight shrinkage of the fiber may occur.
Indicative returns
The consumption of Hydroflam® PF13 varies according to the nature, composition, mass of the substrate and the fire classification targeted. In general, the payload ratio of Hydroflam® PF13 must be around 30% of the mass of the substrate to be treated.
E.g.: to fire fire retardant 200 g of Kraft paper, 50 g of Hydroflam® PF13 will be required. The mass of the wet paper before drying must be 250 g.
