Hydroflam® W18
Hydroflam® W18 is a flame retardant that delays ignition and limits the spread of flames in wood or wood-based products over 8 mm thick. It is effective for an indefinite period of time in dry interiors, humid interiors and sheltered outdoors in accordance with NF EN 16 755.
Its exceptional effectiveness requires small quantities. Its penetration capacity is very strong and facilitates its application.
On wooden support: Euroclass C,s1-d0 according to the EN 13501-1 standard. FCBA Classification Report. The correspondence table of the decree gives an M2* (according to NF P 92-501).

Choose your packaging
Hydroflam® W18 is available in liquid form (without VOCs or formaldehyde), odourless and colourless. It is ready to use. It can be coloured (dye or pigment in dispersible form) to achieve an aesthetic effect or traceability. The fireproof material, once dry, can be stained, painted or varnished, but only with non-downgrading products.
Prevents the spread of flames and fire and reduces the development of smoke.
Implementation and preparation of the substrate
The substrate must be dry, free of dust, oil, wax, grease, dirt, resin, etc.
Hydroflam® W18 is applied on a dry, porous surface, on exposed surfaces + edges, by spraying with a flat jet nozzle or with a brush/roller.
It is advisable to let it dry between 12 and 72 hours depending on the temperature and humidity, naturally or quickly.
Indicative returns
The consumption of Hydroflam® W18 must be 250 g/m2 (in two passes if necessary) per exposed side on wood more than 8 mm thick and with a density greater than or equal to 338 kg/m3. Cleaning with hot water immediately after the completion of the work.
Other remarks
Test the substrate for compatibility with Hydroflam® W18 on a small area beforehand. If a non-degrading finish is to be applied, test on a small area beforehand.
May cause a slight change in the colour of the substrate when drying (oxidation of the wood).
Some whitish deposits may appear at the bottom of the canister, this does not affect the qualities of the product.
A tint is possible on request, please contact us.
