{"id":3107,"date":"2026-08-27T17:30:49","date_gmt":"2026-08-27T15:30:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/protecflam.preprod-kalelia.fr\/guides\/fire-classifications\/"},"modified":"2026-09-22T11:54:51","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T09:54:51","slug":"fire-classifications","status":"publish","type":"guides","link":"https:\/\/protecflam.com\/en\/guides\/fire-classifications\/","title":{"rendered":"Fire classifications"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Building &amp; Development<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fireproofing processes used and the formulations of Protecflam Industries make it possible to obtain an M1 classification \u2013 very difficult to flame \u2013 or M2 \u2013 which is not very flammable, for most woods, cardboard, fabrics or ropes.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please note: <\/strong>since 2002, the M classification has been replaced by a European classification that measures not only flammability but also heat release, the opacity of smoke and the propensity of a material to produce incandescent droplets: the <strong>Euroclasse<\/strong>. <br\/>The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) requires a Euroclass performance to be presented for products linked to a harmonised European standard.
